Mojave indigo 118 (IMG_1349)
Mojave indigo bush, Psorothamnus arborescens, is a wonderful color and when seen in the desert during the late spring; it is immediately identifiable with its purple-violet flowers. This member of the pea family has many sister species in the desert and they also share shades of this fabulous color. The small flowers are difficult to photograph and the color is difficult to reproduce. Did I get the color correct - let’s compare when we see the flowers again!
