Mojave mound cactus (Echinocereus mojavensis) is colorful and distinctive in flower. Red flowers and striking green stigmas make for a fine addition to the flora of the upper elevations in the Mojave Desert Region. Snow is also common where the plants grow; imagine how these flowers would look poking out of the snow!
