Mojave Milkweed Card: 101A
Mojave Milkweed (Asclepias nyctaginifolia) is a rare asclepiad that makes its home in just a few places near the border of Nevada and California. The leaves are similar in shape to members of the Four o’clock family or Nyctaginaceae. Succulent members of Milkweed Family are found here in the southwest U.S.A., but they reach their most diverse forms in the old world, especially the Southern Africa stapeliads, my favorites.
